Grieg's Piano Concerto, which I performed at Aichi Prefectural Theater on June 18th.

The Chubu Philharmonic Orchestra was holding a Nordic series, and the program was all Nordic. Grieg's Lyric Pieces, conducted by Professor Kazuyoshi Akiyama and spun by the orchestra, were deep and impressive. The Lyric Pieces, which tend to be simple when played on a piano solo, were expressed with a wonderful depth. In the second half of the concert, Sibelius's Symphony No. 4, the mysterious worldview reminiscent of Mahler was expressed in a precise manner, and the audience seemed to be listening with interest. This was the first time I was invited to play Grieg's Concerto with a Japanese professional orchestra, and I performed it with all my heart and soul. I was truly happy to have had this wonderful opportunity.
